As you can see, when immigration increased when looking at percent of volumes, crime was decreasing overall, proving my point that immigration did not increase crime.

This visual is a word cloud that depicts immigration, crime and incarceration rates in the early 20th century as well as one of the main reasons why crime was on the rise in the early 20th century (Prohibition law). This suits my project because I am showing that immigration had little to no impact on crime, was not a factor/relationship to the increase of crime. Even though immigrants did commit crimes, they were not a factor to the overall increase in crime during the early 20th centyry This word cloud has a total of 500 works between the two sources I used.

My Bar Graph of Each Nationality Compared to the Crime they Commited!

This image shows different nationalities during 1905-1908 in Chicago due to the crime they commited. This bar graph is often referred to as a clustar graph, since its showing multiple bars per nationality. I wanted to cover all offenses of personal violence, abduction and kidnapping, simple assult, violent assult, homicide and rape as the crimes I wanted to focus on. This relates to my project because my project focuses on immigration and crime rates, and most of these groups of nationality during that time frame of 1905-1908 were immigrants.
